No Bones About It! Team Bath makes Skeleton-Winners!

It was congratulations all-round last week as University of Bath student Dom Parsons won bronze medal in the men’s skeleton. Laura Deas claimed bronze as well in the women’s skeleton, whilst former champion Lizzy Yarnold became the first Briton to retain gold, in the competition at PyeongChang 2018.

All 3 athletes base their training at the University of Bath Sports Training Village, where we refurbished the original skeleton and bob sleigh track just a few years ago.  British Sports offered to fund the refurbishment of the skeleton track and other associated facilities, and we took on the challenge, installing a state-of-the-art bobsleigh track with a new, maintenance-free braking system, suitable for both bob- and skeleton training.

Fantastic video here of the training facility in-use.
